Hi, we had
more big news last week when my son called to say he
was in a car accident. He was a passenger, the cars were
totalled and fortunately, he and his friends were fine within
a few days from the accident due to the lifesaving seat belts
they were wearing. Two of them went to the hospital by
ambulance but my son was in better condition so we personally
took him to get checked out.
I hadn't realized this but did you know that in a strong accident
it's common to have bruises and cuts from the seat belts due to
the impact of your body on them and they're holding you in. (The
car they were in did not have air bags.) Although it was
scary for a while, we are thrilled that all in the vehicle are
now
fine and we're thankful and always appreciative of seatbelts!
At Giftsprings, we are excited to tell you about a new line of
engraved stones/rocks that we custom sandblast to deeply
engraved any words you'd like, a quotation, or a picture
image.
This is a truly unique personalized gift, don't you think? They
make great garden stones, pet memorials or inspirational art
AND we are planning on expanding the products in at least
two new areas as well very soon. We're working on these still
so just in case I don't want to spill the beans but I'm pretty sure
it's a done deal... anyway... one involves a gourmet treat that
we'll have available as express gifts (or to treat yourself with!),
and the other one is a wonderful personal gift item. We'll add
these to the website as soon as we can build up those categories
and get all the products online.
We'll also be writing the winner of this last month's free
gift drawing soon so check you email just in case!
It's State Cup Soccer weekend for our son so we're heading
over to the east coast of Florida for the games... early morning
car trip of several hours. Yawn! :)

Create a Memorable Impression at Your Home

How will you create a memorable first impression to your home?
Think outside, original, creative and something you don't see just
about everywhere. Wouldn't that have your eyes taking note?
Don't get too outlandish though! You have to maintain that
delicate
balance between being memorable and being tasteful.
Decorating the exterior of your home for a memorable impression
should be fun. Think about the image you want to portray for
visitors. But also think about what's important to you, your values,
things you enjoy about your property but perhaps haven't yet
developed or emphasized enough. Don't forget that YOU need
to enjoy the look and feel of your space as well.
For instance, if you like birds or birdwatching, you can add a
birdfeeder and/or a birdhouse. These come in many different
styles
and your choice will further "tell" a bit of a story about
you. Folks
are likely to feel and imagine different things about you and your
home when seeing your whimsical little wood cabin birdhouse
with a little sign that reads "Gone Fishing" on it, compared
to seeing
your inspirational angel birdfeeder.
If you'd like to add any type of seating in your front yard or porch
area, let it be practical but also let its materials and
design speak
to your soul. One of the more memorable seats I recall was
simply made out of a tree trunk that had been laid down horizontally
and placed strategically within the owner's landscaping plan for
use
as a natural log bench.
Windchimes can be a memorable addition to your outdoor decor
too because they add both a visual element as well as an auditory
memory. You'll find that the sounds of windchimes can vary
greatly
due to the different materials, shapes, and sizes that they are
available in.
If you'd like a personalized novelty for your front yard consider
getting a custom engraved rock! You can now personalize stones
with an image, your family name engraved within the
rock, your
address and/or an important word or quotation. Engraved
garden
stones are among some of the newer ways some homeowners are
using to decorate their front yards to create memorable first and
long-lasting impressions.
