Giftsprings does not sell or divulge your information to outside parties and more details are included in this section about this, including potential exceptions.

Personal information that you provide to Giftsprings is used by Giftsprings in order to process your purchase transactions, to process any requests you have made to us, and to follow-up with our customers. When placing an order, your transaction data is transmitted securely through our hosting company and to our credit card processing company. Data is stored on secure servers by our hosting company and on private Giftsprings computers with various protections in place to limit access to and safeguard your personal information. Giftsprings may disclose your information to relevant third parties: to process your orders, if there is a court order for your information or if we need to provide the information to prevent or prosecute any fraud or other wrongdoings perpetrated against Giftsprings, its owners, or its customers.

Giftsprings is primarily a shopping site for adults and we do not knowingly request or collect personal information from children under the age of 13 for the purposes of communications with them.

Email addresses are used only for contacting you about the status of your order, and/or sending you our ezine that can include in-house product ads and specials, articles, and third party ads. You are always free to opt-in or to opt-out of receiving such Giftsprings email communications. Our ezine emails have an unsubscribe link you can use to opt-out of receiving further issues. If you are a registered wholesale account customer, please see additional special instructions below pertaining to your procedure for requesting opt-out from our communications.

Email address and mailing addresses of other persons may be provided by customers at times, for instance, when an item is purchased as a gift and shipped to the gift recipient. However, this information is not used by Giftsprings in any way other than to process that order.

If Giftsprings were ever to decide to sell its business and assets, then we reserve the right to sell, on a one time basis only, our customer mailing list (such that any new owner could continue to send updates and/or catalogs to past and current customers) and our emailing list to any such new owner. In this unlikely event, we would provide you advance notification of this and give you the option of opting-out of any transfer. We want you to know that we do not anticipate this happening anytime in the foreseeable future, and we are simply providing this full disclosure information as a courtesy to our customers and website visitors.

Also, website visits may be logged using standard web log tools and we may use the data internally to make decisions, changes, or improvements in sales, marketing, and to enhance your specific and overall shopping experiences. Cookies may be used to identify your visit(s) to Giftsprings. An order can be placed without creating a customer account, however, you can create a customer account for your convenience on future orders. Then you can log in to your account and when checking out, you will not need to re-enter your bill to and ship to addresses. Once logged in, you also have access to updating your customer account information.

If you are a registered wholesale customer: By having a wholesale customer account open with us, you also agree to allow us to communicate with you by email, phone, and mail, because we may need to communicate with you about updates, specials and changes. However, if you decide you no longer wish to receive email or other communications from Giftsprings, just contact us with your request to permanently cancel your wholesale account and access, and thereby also opt-out of receiving future communications from us concerning your account.
